WordPress has become far more than just plain old blogging software. With a few added touches it becomes a full-fledged content management system. With the addition of some smart plugins, widgets and customizations, we’ve found that deploying a Wordpress install for a client is often all that is needed, cost efficient, and very sustainable. Rile Media adds a small amount of WordPress training to the install package that takes the edge off and flattens out what is already a fairly flat learning curve.

From recipes to hockey schedules and scores, if the plugin or widget you need hasn’t already been written and ready to go, we’ll author and install it for you. What makes sense most about this approach is that WordPress already provides a very robust platform and set of development tools as a foundation for your project. Why spend 3 days developing and testing a login system when WordPress has a functioning, fine-grained user authentication scheme running reliably under the hood?

WordPress can also shave costs in the design phase of your project. There are literally thousands of pre-built templates - some free, some that come at an additional cost albeit nominal – ready to be installed with a few simple clicks. Just about any of those templates can be customized fully to accommodate your design needs.
